I like it. Looks rounded. Wish the skeletal structure went all the way up, however.

It's like a whole new skyline just dropped.

As ATX noted on his twitter feed:

858'
766'
707'
540'
439'

We'll look a lot like Houston or Dallas when (if?) these are all finally completed.

What was the proposed usage for these? No balconies so likely not residential right?

All residential, with a 275ish-room hotel component.

We're going to pass Dallas within 5 years. Houston has too much already built. But we did pass them up with the new Texas tallest.

We'll be cracking the top 10 in the U.S. with this latest round. This is insane!

At the moment we’re only behind NYC and Miami in terms of number of high-rises above 150 M in development.

The round form and skeletal structure reminds me something out of Australia or Toronto. Looking forward to renderings.

Wow, the next wave of Austin towers has arrived! Now we definitely have something to look forward to after the current wave finishes construction.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that another supertall joins the next wave!

WOW. The architecture of the proposals we've seen over the last 12 - 18 months has really jumped into a new league.

Do we know who the architect is on this one?

Site plan attachments haven't been available so far today. But the Architect would be listed in the site plan drawings.

The rounded corners on this should echo the curves on the Perennial, which is only a couple of blocks away.

Can't wait to see full renderings.

What street are these towers facing? I assume 3rd Street with the blank wall facing south toward the alley between 3rd and 2nd. Or is this at the Vince Young Steakhouse site?

As soon as the city allows access to site plan files again, we can start getting more info like that.

Here’s Our First Look at the Two Towers Headed for Block 32 in Downtown Austin

https://austin.towers.net/heres-our-...wntown-austin/

Updates to the site plan for the Block 32 tower project now working its way through the city’s permitting process offer us a closer look at the two towers set to rise atop a half-block at East Third and San Jacinto Streets in downtown Austin — and although our city is pretty spoiled for impressive new buildings lately, these plans show a pair of towers with a design that should prove remarkable on the skyline. We now know the developer behind the project is Austin’s own Manifold Real Estate, which has quite a few projects cooking at the moment, though Block 32 could prove their largest yet.

So they're building it in phases, with the first phase being the smaller tower. That makes me worry about the larger getting downsized....

I updated the floor count on the taller tower to 64 floors. We had it at 55 because the first site plan dated June '22 listed it as 55 but still 707'. New elevations dated December became available today, but there doesn't appear to be much different.
