- Proposing a new 20 story Office Tower that would house Thrivent's new HQ
- Parcel for Residential/Hotel on the same block
- Residential on the Adjacent block with a Parking Ramp
In this image you can also see three other projects that are all topped out by not yet occupied: the East End (7 floors, apts & retail) across the street on the left, The Legacy (19 floors, condos) on the other end of the Mill District on the right, and The Hub (26 floors, apts and retail) over at the East Bank in the far-right background. The East End project shown at the left is bringing the first full-service grocery store to the Mill District and East Town.
Nearly complete here. Leasing center opened in the retail bay on Marquette last week. Not happy about the materials on this one-- the glass curtain wall portion is OK, but the inset precast is awful, and this may be the worst parking podium we've seen here, something about the way it lines up with the family court building when looking SE down 4th is particularly disturbing. Hope Opus hurries up with Phase II so we don't have to look at the backside of this thing for long!
What’s happening with pioneer hall?! That was my freshman year dorm.
A pretty complete reconstruction and addition. They've torn down the whole building except for the portions of the exterior walls which didn't face the courtyards. The portions of the exterior that currently remain will be incorporated into the new building. My understanding is that it was pretty dated relative to the other dorms on campus and was in need to pretty significant remodeling at a minimum. The new building should have more beds than the original, as well as a much larger dining area.

Not surprising. I graduated 7 years ago and it was definitely outdated, but the exterior is nice so I’m glad they’re keeping that design.
KA BLOCK -- 17, 8, 5, and 4 Floors, 185' -- Apartments, hotel, office, brewery, retail --
3/26/18
This project is a unified development of 4 separate buildings, which all sit atop a single large underground garage that spans the full block. The 5 story office building and 4 story brewery & event center have both already opened. The 17 story apartment building is nearly complete, and the 8 story hotel w/ retail is topped out but has a ways to go.
