Yes, but I doubt they'll build anything too quickly...

I never thought I'd see the day where you could stand at that point in Grant Park and have something towering over One Museum Park... The last 10 years it's been a freaking monolith over there, and now it looks relatively humbled haha

I wonder if there's a chance of it happening this cycle?

If it looked like NEMA that would be awesome, but I've heard it'll be a different design entirely, and probably taller.

Gimme something round or curved on the corner. That'd compliment NEMA perfectly. A 900' version of The Spire. Yeah, I'd vote for that.

I'd be okay with either an 1000+ version of NEMA or the Spire... or better yet the cancelled Waldorf Astoria

I second that. This is turning out so nice I don’t see any reason not to build the twin.
They need to meet up with the party wall anyway. That bounds the options enough that anything curvy on a square base will just look dumb and not sell well.
You know, like 1000M.

While walking around downtown this weekend it really struck me how huge this thing is when walking along Michigan Ave from the north.

When its twin is completed, the massive southern enclosure this will provide to that vista, plus Grant Park, will be nothing short of epic. It’s really something spectacular from a pedestrian’s perspective

The setbacks on this one just make how stunning it's ultimately going to be.

I have to admit, for the longest time while this was being built, I was actually worried it was going to be sorta boring. But once the setbacks started defining themselves (and they started painting the concrete white), this tower started becoming absolutely beautiful.

There is allegedly a 900' PGH tower being budgeted right now by Wood Partners called Alta Grant Park for the last parcel. Has anyone seen it or have renderings?

Those would be miserable terraces if on the North facade. They are exactly where they should be, facing the sun.

Interesting... PGH has a mixed track record in the city, but I'd love to see if they could find a way to revitalize their old Park Michigan tower they never got to built from last cycle(or something in that similar vein)
