The curtain wall and the interior designs are fine, it's just the massing of the building I am talking about.
Yep, definitely the common rectangular massing for sure is one element.

This is an impossibly bold design for what is an absolutely ridiculous lot. The fact that it's skinny but wide is simply necessary given the narrow but long lot configuration. This is not only better than we had any right to expect here, it's better than 99% of what goes up in this city.

This one is going to have a huge impact on the skyline given it's location, I really like the design. Looking forward to watching it go up!

Is anyone else bummed this is office space? I get your front door being jfk is less than ideal. But that also means the retail portion will probably close around 7pm and it won’t be super activated during the weekend/day time. But if this is truly all office space, the anchor tenant must be really good.

Pretty sure it's getting build as residential. Floors 1-2 are office (no retail) and residential above. I believe the listing on Loopnet and elsewhere are outdated.

If there does end up being some residential, being minutes from Giant and Trader Joe's is a huge plus.

Yeah TJs and Giant being less than a 5 minute walk away is HUGE. Whole Foods and Target are maybe a 15 minute walk North too so that's nice as well. I'm glad to see the West end of Market starting to grow into a real residential neighborhood. We're still maybe 3-4 projects away from that (parking lot behind TJs, the parking lots left on Market, etc.) at this point but the area is making solid progress.

That’s certainly what the building permit shows, primarily residential with 287 dwelling units.

It's an amazing project.
My only regret is it doesn't give access to 23rd Street.

Yeah that’s a pretty big disappointment. Hopefully the addition of the building will add some energy to the underpass below JFK. I always feel a little uncomfortable walking under JFK there at night. Never had any issues, just wish the lighting was better I guess.

Spotted on the Old Images of Philadelphia Facebook page. Caissons on site means that this baby is officially under construction!

What a pleasant surprise. I definitely did not expect this one to get going so quick.

Didn't they just tear down what was left of the Chinese Wall for this project? I didn't even know any of it was still standing.

It’s still so crazy to me that this is moving so quickly. PMC just finished Riverwalk so demand there must be really solid for them to want to get this built so quick.

This is neither.

Is it the greatest design ever? Hardly but this is a very good design. I don't really have any criticisms.
My criticism would be cheaping out by trying to do a curved building using flat glass. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt this will look much better than a Philly special.

Where is the flat glass? All of the curves are curved glass in the renderings. Have you seen something to suggest they’ll use all flat glass?
