I've always found this topic interesting. I liked this article about Mill Creek and how it was transformed into a sewer in West Philly. The Mill Creek sewer has been the source of many issues over the years including sinkholes and home collapses and disruptions to the 34 trolley. And here's just way more information about it I found looking online lol

Yes, although I hate driving, my morning commute seeing this building rise against dusk is very satisfying. Hopefully it will have lighting on the crown.

For a glass box with a twist up top, this turned out really good. I definitely like the upper units with the balconies and the opening before reaching the upper upper units.

I personally think the massing and grid pattern compliments the Society Hill Towers well actually

I think one of the "concerns" was the building wouldn't fit with the Society Hill Towers, but I actually think the modern building looks good next to them. It's like they had a baby haha

Got to love nimbys. "It doesn't fit in the neighborhood" was probably used a few times.

I actually kinda understand their concerns considering it’s a very significant historic district and it sounds like they were overall pretty chill about it. What I don’t understand is the opposition to the 76ers stadium considering it isn’t even in Chinatown.

Never deprive an "activist" of their chance to grandstand.

Great project. Also love that it's 270 units and not one of those ultra luxury every floor is a unit type places. This makes the neighborhood accessible to so many more people who otherwise probably wouldn't be able to live there.

For real, love the new influx of residents in the neighborhood! But can we FINALLY get another grocery store in this area...Society Hill/Queen Village only has the too small, terribly overpriced and all-around horrible experience that that is the Acme at 5th and Pine. It's too bad the planned Giant Heirloom at 2nd and South seems to have fallen through
