Here's a little video on the building.

Love the exterior work done so far. This one has come along so well.

New Jefferson Bank tower near the Pearl nears completion

https://sanantonioreport.org/jeffers...w-tower-pearl/

For nearly two years, motorists headed into downtown on U.S. Highway 281 have had unobstructed views of a new stucco and steel tower rising higher on the eastward skyline.

Set for completion this fall, the Jefferson Bank headquarters building stands at 13 stories, and with floor-to-ceiling windows on every level, it offers sweeping views of both the highway bend and a miles-long stretch of Broadway Street.

Parts of Fort Sam Houston and the greens at Brackenridge Golf Course are visible along with the Tower of Americas and much of downtown. The Pearl and a burgeoning banking center — Credit Human and Bank of America are newly situated one block over — are also within sight.

The Pearl in particular was part of the draw for Jefferson Bank leaders in choosing the site for its new headquarters, said Larry Ratcliff, senior vice president and chief information officer at Jefferson Bank who is overseeing the project.

“We want to get the best talent, so where do those folks want to be?” he said. “The Pearl is a driving force.”

Even though it is not tall, this is truly a well-designed building. I absolutely love the facade.

Chill your horses. Tall is good for the city. Never thought I'd come to a SKYSCRAPER page and get ridiculed for wishing it was taller.

I agree taller is better!

Thompson should have been 30 stories!
Floodgate 35!
Frost 45!
Jefferson Bank 20!

It is a pretty building. I do wish it was taller. I'm not mad at its current height.

I think tall is great, the comments just get repetitive.

Successful 10-20 story buildings will prove up demand for even taller buildings.

Txdev, you appear to have your ear close the pulse of the development community here. How long before SA sees something at 500+ feet? Is it even in the cards at all?

Not finished. No photo sorry, but I think they're working on the exterior cladding still. Streetscape around it is still a mess, so I don't think they're close to being done either.

They are working on the exterior cladding still. I drive by this multiple times a day going to/from work. Not sure if there have been structural issues or supply chain issues, but it really seems like they should have completed this building already given it's size.

Is this restaurant taking the place for Still Golden's tenant spot?

I read somewhere that Still Golden was going to have the rooftop spot. Haven't heard anything about it since though.

Slightly off topic, but in speaking to that area, the lighting on the Tin ____ apartments, Credit Human office lights, and the Jefferson make this area very nice looking in the morning commute.

Yeah, wish the damn highway wasn't exactly in the middle of the midtown area but it does make for an interesting drive with the new high rises.
