^^^ Yes, it's also worth noting that Jenny wasn't exactly a great architect from an aesthetics standpoint. His contributions are largely structural and the partial demolition of structural, non-facade portions of his buildings is probably more criminal than the destruction of the facades of his buildings.

400 W Huron show room (which I think is demo'd now), from the company that did the building's identity.

I was reading comments on Facebook regarding the Rezko (now Related Midwest) parcel south of Roosevelt and noticed this:

I'm wondering if he is confused and it's the NE corner plot at Harrison and Wells. They did a bunch of soil testing back in September, so perhaps we will hear something soon?

It's called Forgotten Chicago. People post pictures of the built environment of Chicago from the past. Some really awesome pictures on there Some very interesting comments in there too - some people pretty reasonable and others of the ilk that anything old is worth saving even if it's crap architecture.

I don't see that happening with absolutely no infrastructure in the area.

Is there maybe a community meeting for this shit pile? This is right around the corner from me. Hopefully the neighborhood can block it. Any chance?

Such bullshit. As a property owner in the 48th, I'm really displeased stuff like this can just slip through. Add this to the list of the many other complaints emailed to Osterman's office.

Is that limestone cladding around the base? Whatever it is it looks excellent.
