Luftstal City

Here is my city called Luftstal City, it has been on the Sketchup Warehouse since 2007. I just joined Skyscraperpage.com and saw all of the awesome sketchup cities that people have been posting, so now I decided to upload some photos of my city, Luftstal City. Enjoy.

Here is my description from the page on the warehouse:
" Made with 102,000 raised squares. This model will not be colored because my computer already runs too slow to begin with. Any questions or comments or ratings are appreciated. Luftstal City- "the city of clouds". Hello I am themasterofthewoods, I have been designing and building and editing Luftstal City for over 2 years now. I enjoy working with Google Sketchup when I am bored and I usually don't spend too much time a day editing. For the past 6 months since the last update in May 2009 you may notice that though the city has not grown outward, but rather it has become more regulated. I mean this because I have done a lot of fine tuning you could say: making sure everything is to scale and fits and works well with the design. I prefer to build cities instead of models of buildings, and I am actually working on another city now in my spare time. For other info, many people ask how I have been able to upload more then 10 mb, seeing that Luftstal City is actually 31 mb. This may be due to the reason that I have not updated to the newest version of Sketchup because I don't like it and it is not suited well for projects over 7 mb (it lags a lot). So you may be surprised but I still am using the beta version! I don't care because I like it anyways. Also: though the city is called Luftstal City and that it reflects a German name, I do not live in Germany. I actually live in the United States of America. "

cool but you should really add textures!! they realy make a city look nicer even if they are just a basic black or blue or something...

Thanks but the file is 33 mbs so it is too large for my computer, I guess the next step is to get a faster computer haha

Very large but (you might of said this in your explaining i dunno) but you might want to add more buildings other than just boxes. If you decide to keep it all boxes why don't you add mor detail on the buildings?Nice job so far!

Oh and welcome to the forum! I'm Flamesrule and I post here a lot. My city is Tennington. Hope you like it here!!!!!

I've found your city in the Warehouse and I think it looks fantastic! The layout and arrangement of buildings is very, very realistic. In this aspect I think your city is the most realistic I've found in the 3d Warehouse. Great job!

I opened this file up at work the other day. Pretty sweet. Ran nice and fluid for me without any problems. I was actually able to copy and paste the whole city rather quickly. Then again my work station tower is $10,000, so that makes a bit of a difference.
