It looks very cheap to me

Is there a chance the gaps could be filled in with a brick color caulk?
The gaps are so large that they look almost like an intentional design element (although a bad one).

Good thought. Let's hope.

It doesn't look great but this is still North Broad. I'd still rather this design than the LVL North at Broad and Spring Garden. There's plenty of other lots available nearby.

I loved the rendering but, I agree, the execution looks cheap.

Noticed Broad & Noble has a new IG page and an updated website... while the main tower's materials are a disappointment I think the smaller adjacent building looks good -- and this faux-water tower thing ... not sure what to make of that..., it looks nice, but sort of oozes gentrification wannabe cool.

An updated shot of the water tower. The brick here is looking good.

^Yeah, it looks good. Considering the ghetto dump that parking lot / abandoned lot use to be, this whole project is a major upgrade.

^ If the brick color on the tower matched the podium, this would be a slam dunk.

Overall, still a massive improvement for N. Broad.

The list of amenities lists, among other things, "a content creation studio."

If something oozes wanna be cool its that.

Agreed. But damn. That tower misses the mark spectacularly.

The contrast is almost insulting. It’s as if they knew people would doubt whether they cared at all about their building quality so they had to add something in front of it to remind you that they can build nice things when they want to.

No. There is an entire cottage industry out there built on kids creating "content" for social media.

OK, Boomer? lol.

If it's like my friend's building, it's mostly just a sound recording room. Which is very useful for recording voice overs on videos / tiktoks. Your standard bedroom or living room has a lot of echo, a dead space makes a huge difference. Traveling radio journalists will occasionally mention sitting in hotel closets to get the right acoustics.
