So good! I've been to Philly before and really liked it, but for some reason I never took the time to visit during my 7 years living in DC even though it was a relatively easy train ride away. Ugh. This makes me want to get back sooner than later.

Great shots! Jim Thorpe is an absolute treasure. I recommend if you visit Jim Thorpe during the fall leaf viewing season to take the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway from Reading (post-pandemic of course). It is a nice relaxing ride and you do not have to worry about finding parking once you are in town, which can be a quite an ordeal on the weekends during the fall. Thanks again for sharing!

Beautiful!

Philly is the most underrated American city. It is dramatically superior to Sunbelt cities like Dallas, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Nashville.

Thank you! Jim Thorpe is indeed a fantastic town for anyone with a couple hour radius. Definitely worth it for a day trip or weekend trip.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. It usually doesn't get discussed as being in of the top tier of American cities, but it really does belong there. Maybe its proximity to New York hurts its cause, I don't know.

Hey, I've eaten here! It was pretty good but I was a little disappointed, as I went after seeing it ranked as the best restaurant in Philly and it definitely wasn't that.

Philly is a must. What a great variety of potent architecture from Colonial times onward. Thanks for the great thread!

Glad you enjoyed! There's definitely better restaurants in Philly, and even in Fishtown. WM Mulherin's Sons in Fishtown is banging. Some of my favorite restaurants in Philly are Parc, Tequilas, Talula's Garden, etc.

Great photos, Philly is definately one of the top cities of the USA! Visited a cold day in March in 1998, hope to go back one day.

Amazing collection! So many beautiful images. I'll be in Philly in about two weeks and I definitely plan to make a side trip to Doylestown.

Glad you enjoyed and sounds like you're long overdue for a return visit! Philly is a significantly different city today than it was in 1998.

Glad you enjoyed! Hope you enjoy your time in Philly. Doylestown is a great town in the Philly countryside if you plan on making a trip there. You can take SEPTA Regional Rail train directly to Doylestown from Center City Philadelphia, or drive. If you do drive, maybe make some time to stop by Peddler's Village and New hope as well while you're out that way.

In Doylestown itself, Fonthill Castle and the Mercer Museum are MUST sees.

2021 is not great but in Philadelphia, compared to 2020, it's a dream. We will be fully open with no restrictions on Friday!
