Colorado Springs reminds me of Ogden, Utah, which also coincidentally has a large Air Force presence

It was a requirement until 2014
Los Angeles' requirement for helipads atop buildings more than 75 feet tall was meant to allow airlifts in the event of a fire, attack or other emergency.

Nice, looks pretty recent. The middle right section should be filled with more 30-50 story buildings in the next 5 years or so.

Nice. San Marcos really does have a nice little skyline. This photo doesn't show the new 13-story Aspire San Marcos apartment building near the Texas State University campus or the 10 story Embassy Suites Convention Hotel farther south along I-35. It isn't the biggest skyline in Texas, but it is the closest one to Austin outside of our own and they have the tallest buildings between Austin and San Antonio.
