actually I think "Monoliths of the North" . .
may conjure up a more impressive range . . of curious bewilderment . .
slightly ominous . . in the strange realm of the imagination . .

I think the USSR tower.

The United Super Socialite Rich Tower.

Where the USSR commitee watched the poor proletariat below, while sipping some imported bourgeoisie wine and exclaiming "Capital Gains" in a hypo manic voice.

Legend saids that they launch paper airplanes to 432 Park, with secret codes written on them under the guise of a chess game. Each move brings them closer to a checkmate, where they will conquer all of NYC with monolithic towers. They also talk shit about One57, for the poor investment. If only they had waited a few years.

A decade from now, when these monolithic towers hugging the south end of Central Park are complete, this will easily be my favorite view of New York City's skyline.

I'm not sure how super rich most of this tower will be though. Is it all billionaire class? I don't think so. One thing for certain though, it will need a name that rolls off the tongue. Steinway is fine, but this one should have been called "the Spire" instead of Tishman's building. It looks more the part.

Possibly. I wonder what the pricing will be on some of the units. Might be a bargain compared to the other 57 Street towers. Tower Verre is cheap compare to what the units are going for at 432 and One57, and its a much better tower. 16 million might seem a lot, but its way better then 40 million. I wonder if this will eclipse 432 when it comes to the most expensive unit in the city's history? Or will that title go to Nordstrom. Either way, this is something that is for the 1/1000 of 1%. A million is not rich anymore. The standard for being rich is more like 10 million.

For the lucky few who will live in this tower, man, what a privilege to live in such a work of art. This tower, along with 30 Hudson IMO are the best towers to come out of this boom cycle.

That was back in the day, when 700 feet was respectable. Nowadays, its a mid rise in this boom. If its not a 1000 feet, it gets lost in the pile.

We now have 700 feet + rising in DoBro and LIC, and mutiple towers. Hell, we have a JDS tower thats 1,000 feet + in DoBro and a 900 footer in Jersey City. Unthinkable 5 years ago.

For the Central Park NIMBY's, "The Shadows of Mordor" is more appropriate. Because for them, 57th Street is where sun meets darkness. Casting a shadow over their precious green land from citadels of power. Evil meets good.
