I will choke Reilly with my own bare hands if he blocks us from getting knocking Trump Tower down a peg

Just imagining the view... This will be one of the premier vistas where it's visual impact will be most prominent.

Tribune Tower sign spat lands in court

Chicago Tribune
Ryan OriContact Reporter

Quote:
The Chicago Tribune will leave its namesake tower by midyear, but the building’s owners want the newspaper’s exterior signage to stay put.

A venture of Los Angeles-based CIM Group and Chicago’s Golub & Co. on Wednesday sued the Tribune, alleging that as the tower’s owner, it has the right to buy the sign for $1 and keep it displayed on the tower.

The newspaper has informed the real estate developers that it plans to remove the sign and will not sell it to them, according to the complaint filed in Cook County Circuit Court.

The lawsuit comes as the newsroom and the corporate offices of Tronc, Chicago Tribune’s parent company, prepare to vacate the Chicago landmark ahead of the June 30 lease expiration. The Tribune is moving to the Prudential Plaza office complex overlooking Millennium Park.

An owner suing the previous occupant of a building in order to retain the current naming rights or signage???

It's an interesting move Cotton, let's see how it plays out.

That's right on my walk to work when I'm not wfh. CAN'T WAIT!! Ever since someone brought it up earlier, I really really hope they go the "modern gothic" route like 9 Dekalb Ave in Brooklyn.

You’ll be able to stand on the Michigan Ave Bridge and see three super talls. Makes me giddy.
