This looks to be the enterance to the Element shaping up:

Does anyone else kind of find it disturbing that out of all the stores they left the fast food restaurants untouched

what would you steal from a FF restaurant? Frozen burgers? There is nothing there that has resale value on the black market.

True, but tons of non-fast food restaurants got destroyed. I just thought it was ironic that Wendy's and Popeyes got spared.

Wow, with the scaffolding, equipment, and some of the construction "cattle shoots" out of the way, it looks very nice at the street level and integrates will with the adjacent bldgs.

This one is a long time coming...LOL.

God the street can breathe again. Hopefully everything will start to get better and open back up by the time this is 100% ready.

Looking good.

THIS IS HOW YOU BUILD A NEW BUILDING NEXT TO AN OLDER ONE.

This is A1 excellent construction by the W, are they opening up sooner? looks like it's almost done.

Website says they're scheduled to open by December. Also on Facebook there's some type of event going on at the W in September, I hope that is when they're lighting it up

Was planned for June then pushed to August, now December 11th I believe. I was planning a stay-cation around the holidays, the interiors look stunning. This will be the #3 big hotel in Philadelphia (after the 4 Seasons and Rittenhouse). The Ritz needs a little sprucing up in the rooms.

Also, I can't wait until this intersection is cleared of construction debris and blockages, its been so many years...

Well, here's what I heard, all of the Wendy's in the Philadelphia area are Black owned and operated. Don't know about Popeyes.

Philly has a strong black economy, I love the fact that my people, (I am a poc) as well as other races in philly actually make big bucks, You can see the money in center city and even the hood.

Now when you go up to NY the amount of money people have, even in the hoods is amazing and beautiful, gives me hope even me with my own business will/can become anything they want to be when you put the hard work in.

I was just wondering the other day, the bigger the city population the higher the amount of money people will have around you.

Wilmington, de has a low population and I can see the struggle in my city, when I go to philly I see more people doing well then bad, then when you go to NY oh my god, everyone has Benz/Bentley money.

Not everyone but you get my drift.
