Yeah they can get insurance. Hurricane insurance is offered. But these towers on a side note are designed, along with Florida homes, to withstand certain elements of hurricanes. Even the windows for example. On a tower like this, they will be in good shape.

Miami-Dade has there own modified requirements for the Florida building code which I believe influence design with respect to wind speed and load/force.

In other words, it would take a major hurricane to cause some serious damage, and even than, it would be mitigated somewhat through design implementation and testing. Materials used have to meet certain testing requirements to account for these forces.

With Florida homes, there is a difference in strength if you look at homes lets say build in the 1980's to ones built after 2000.

Did a quick query because I was curious. Depends on the area code, but you can be looking at $3,500 to $5000 on average. This is from multiple insurance carriers.

IN SUNNY ISLES, THE 56-STORY ARMANI TOWER IS NOW COMPLETE & VALUED AT $1 BILLION. HERE’S A FIRST LOOK INSIDE

Quote:
The 56-story Residences by Armani Casa Tower has been completed in Sunny Isles, and closings are now underway.

There are 308 condo units, and total sales are expected to top $1 billion. Over $800 million worth of condos in the building were already in contract last year, the developers had said.

The project broke ground in January 2016 and was open in November 2019, making it around 46 months of construction.

Amenities include a private oceanfront restaurant & bar, a two-story Armani Spa and fitness center, private movie theater, cigar room, and a children’s playground.

Dezer Development and Related Group are the developers.

Pelli Clarke Pelli is the architect, with interiors by Armani/Casa.
