Hi CanadianDriverYXE! Can you get a new shot from a far-off different angle? Broadway is looking sweet! Cheers

Hey Saskabusher, this is the only shot I could get today, I will try to get a better shot from a better vantage point, though I don't know where haha. I love seeing the Broadway cluster driving on 8th St heading west, and from Circle Drive East looking West.

Looks like they are already taking tenants. On my walk today, I saw several balconies with plants, outdoor furniture or bbq's on them. Apparently they are moving people in as they continue to finish the building.

The first wave started moving in on June 1, I believe, with the rest of us set to follow after July 1. Exciting times!

I take it you're moving in, Roquentin?

Can we expect pics from your balcony?

Wow. There's ugly development and then there's this.

A random collage of inset balconies, cantilevered balconies. different sized, undersized windows topped with an oppressive two storey sheer wall above street level entrances.

Does anyone have any indication into the demand for this building? I'm curious to know what % of the units have been leased. This would provide some indication as to how long it'll take until we'll see the next rental apartment built in the area.

Someone should reach out to Urban Capital to see if we'll ever see them come back to the table re: the Broadway condo. Such a shame that project failed (so far).

Heinous or masterpiece is an extremely narrow range. I'm aware energy codes and price point dictate the direction in design. There's much room for aesthetic improvement. However, this looks adequate to you and another 20 of these of varying height built over the next ten years as a desirable future than so be it. I'll just wear very dark sunglasses.

The living spaces matter most and I have not seen them. Based on the low standard set on the exterior, I'm not expecting nice, good looking spaces.

Well don't fall over with your dark glasses on whippy. Unless you are willing to put up your millions to invest in master pieces guess Saskatoon will live with average and won't be too much moaning and groaning.

I sent an e-mail to urban capital a while back when that office proposal next to them was being looked at, they said no plans in the near future of coming back to that project

It's a utilitarian rental and unfinished in the last posted pic, but at least it has retail space at ground level and... HEATED parking! From a distance, it fits right in

I don't know. It doesn't bother me, being from Toontown. We have sooooo many worse. It's not really relevant someone from a land of a million new 'scrapers bashing this humble abode. Progress here is glacial. Endless miles of curtainwall glass is boring, too. And don't forget- it's friggin' COLD here:>/ (Those trees out front are 300 yrs old, haha)

(BTW, there are uglier pieces of million-dollar art in the National Gallery than this podium!>)

Sorry for the late reply! Yep, I moved in about a month ago, and I love it here. The views are incredible, but I find posting images on this site very inconvenient, so don't expect many from me --- sorry!
