Because of postseason? I watch Cubbies on TV by last Tuesday evening. I heard Cubbies won the games and they're headed to NLCS. Hopefully, Cubbies will eventually to win the NLCS games. We will find out soon enough.

Most of the next phase is at the triangle plaza/ front office building and Cubs' underground clubhouse is currently underway.

They've already announced a delay on the batting tunnels since the visiting clubhouse won't have one till 2017 thus bullpens won't move to batting cages under the bleachers. Also means no new seats added in old bullpen areas yet.

Wonder if they'll postpone give a later deadline into 2016 season like they did with the bleachers for the home-plate club, third-base-side concourse and the right-field upper deck outdoor concourse.

The only additions I believe left for the bleachers per Bleed Cubbie Blue of the renovations are outfield lights, permanent add-ons to the scoreboards (apparently they've been using temporary sound system for it) and additional outfield signs (technically was suppose to be first phase).

They are working on the building today. Lifting steel into place on the fifth and sixth floors. I am guessing steel will be all up by end of Oct.

It's gonna be a big building.

It's funny they put up a sign to inform people that the marquee is undergoing restoration.

^ My guess is he's confusing the "triangle" building for the hotel. You can see that in the above pics, the McDonald's (where the hotel will be built) is still standing as of October 23.

Exactly. They haven't begun on the hotel. McD's still open. no construction until after 2016 season, I think.

The building they are working on is the office building at Clark & Waveland. And they ARE cranking on it. Its big! They have also closed the sidewalks on Waveland and Sheffield that run next to the stadium - they are tearing the sh*t out of the interior.

AND they have completely closed Waveland from Seminary to Clark.

Occupancy of the triangle building isn't expected until late 2016.

The Sheraton Hotel would be part of Phase Four: 2017-18

sidewalks on Waveland and Sheffield is underground work for broadcast center

Good thing so far is that the weather has cooperated thus construction hasn't hit any snags ala last offseason.

^ Regardless of the design, that's a pretty damn dense development for being out in the neighborhoods, but it's near the L and I'm all in favor of it.
