The fact that cases are rising doesn’t matter. In fact it’s a good thing - it will get young people antibodies faster than they can procure and deliver Pfizer vax doses.

As in the US, the people still being hospitalised or dying are mostly anti-vaxxers, and fuck them.

Young people in the UK haven't been dying from Covid either. This is a good thing. 5x as many kids have died from suicide than Covid in the UK.

You can wear a mask for the rest of your life if you want to. Nobody ever said you shouldn't wear a mask. You just look really dumb when you're outside by yourself wearing a mask.

Yesterday I went to a bar and enjoyed a 20 oz draft in all its glory, then went to the grocery store, not a damn mask in sight.

Shame on us! The scary Delta variant is going to kill us all, right CNN?

UK, Israeli have presented evidence that Delta is less lethal than the other variants. And given that the US is closing in on 70% with at least a single shot, is there is anything to be concerned with? Full ICUs?

100% anecdotal, but my wife's good friend is a nurse at a hospital here in Chicago, and she came over for dinner the other night and she said last week was the first week since the pandemic began that their hospital didn't admit a single covid patient to the ICU.

That's not data, but I took it as a positive sign nonetheless

It's largely over if you're vaccinated.

I was just in rural Arkansas and lots of people are still getting very sick and dying there. I suspect it is a similar story across the country.

This is an urban-minded forum so anecdotally the pandemic may be over amongst fully-vaccinated city dwellers but it's still raging in our rural areas with no signs of abatement.

Because they chose NOT to get vaccinated.

I'll go check my rural area -
43.5% still unvaccinated and we are right next to the bay area.

That is not good though for places with limited medical facilities (like my area). If there is to be another SURGE, then my county will have to send patients to other counties.

So you guys are ok with them dying but not a forced injection one time in there lives? Dang.
It's not a true "fuck em". It's half. To fully do that we must break their spirit and vaccinate.

100.

99.2% of Covid deaths in June were the unvaccinated.

Get vaccinated and move on. There is no reason or basis to shut it all down again from media sensationalism at this point.

That's a good sign!

Cases can rise (to the moon) as long as we have our most vulnerable vaccinated, especially those that live in areas with a lot of people!

So don't buy the media hype (fear porn?) and you won't be worried about another lockdown .

After 2020, there are some elected officials that are reluctant to loosen their grip on the emergency powers granted to them. As a result, I wouldn't say I'm worried (bc I follow the science), but I can't rule anything out in the Covid-21 season we're in.

Btw, I haven't bought any of the fear porn since May 2020.
Have you?

I think it'd be good to see further data on what % of these cases are in vaccinated vs unvaccinated people, and within these 2 subgroups, how many of them are hospitalized and/or die. Without this information, the applicability of the data you've posted is limited.

Please list all of these officials in the CE, and I am assuming some of them come from my state...since it is "the lockdown state"? People who accepted the fear porn about the variants are only doing the same thing as you. They aren't ruling out the T virus mutation in those kinda areas...with red hats.

Well not really since I don't have cable and live in a rural area but if Yahoo! tells me to do it, maybe I will?

What's the CE?

You misread what I was implying. I can't rule anything out bc of the politicians (that refuse to release their emergencies powers, which were granted to them..by..themselves - see the bomb A gif down below ). <-They also refuse to accept the science with vaccinations and natural immunity.

Get it?

Hospitalizations are beginning to surge in many of the low vaccination states. Patients hospitalized with Covid shot up 35% this week in Florida after a long slow decline. Up 27% from the previous week in Nevada. Up 15% for the US as a whole after having declined for a while.

Am I ok with it? Yes, because they CHOSE not to get vaccinated. You keep missing this point, and it's getting annoying. Why should any of us feel sympathy for communities that reject science and have to deal with the consequences?

Because these are people, your fellow Americans. Yeah I’m frustrated that people aren’t getting vaccinated for whatever reason especially those that openly refuse to because of wild conspiracy theories. But to not feel sympathy for people getting sick and dying and being “ok with it”? What kind of heartless asshole are you?
