That seems to be a typo that's now been corrected on the website: https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/dept...n_Hearing.html

In general though, developers have the option to purchase additional FAR, where the funds go to support small businesses on the South & West Sides. For DX-5, a developer can purchase up to 3.1 FAR, bringing the total FAR to 8.1.

Now 1400 Wabash - This looks great! More of this and less Halloween bucket on Elizabeth.

Yes 1400 S Wabash is looking good. Are they slightly behind if the sign says early 2023 move in? Doesn't look anywhere close to move-in ready lol.

This might kickoff development in the Southwest Loop

Greyhound bus station near downtown Chicago is up for sale
Quote:
A Connecticut investment firm that just bought the Greyhound bus station near downtown Chicago has put it up for sale, wagering that a developer will buy it for a high-rise project.

Twenty Lake Holdings has hired CBRE to sell the bus depot at 630 W. Harrison St., next to the Jane Byrne Interchange. Totaling about 88,000 square feet, the site could accommodate a big development, possibly with two towers, said Keely Polczynski, senior vice president in CBRE’s Chicago office. She expects the property to fetch a price in the low- to mid-$20 million range.

It’s probably multiple towers,” she said of a future development.

Curious -Did they move the bus station to Union Station then? Or are they planning on moving it?

That area will be 300% less sketchy without Greyhound too. But... The loss of an intercity bus station does sting a bit even if Greyhound is pretty awful.

That tower design was amazing. While I do like the BMO Harris building design that was constructed, just feels like another missed opportunity for excellent design in Chicago.

Got it, thanks! I just underwrote a project in DX-5 and I was making sure I didn't miss something.

It just needs to be mirrored towards the south so the skygardens actually get sunlight.

Plan Commission has approved 415 N Sangamon & 640 W Randolph.

1016 W Jackson was also on the agenda, so I'd assume that was approved too.

415 N Sangamon:

640 W Randolph:

1016 W Jackson:
