There are some great views from the Conservatory which will open fall of 2020. This view is from the south "ear" of Davies Symphony Hall

View of the roof & mechanical room

The construction has reached the roof level. view from the 24th floor of the Fox Plaza

The green colored building in the foreground is currently occupied by the San Francisco Art school which has been ordered to vacate the building for violating city & county laws for building use. The Art school has been fined 10s of millions of dollars for citywide violations. The building was previous owned by the California Automobile Association

I didn’t realize that the former CSAA building was yet another one occupied by Academy of Art University. They just reached a $60 million master settlement with the City and County of San Francisco to vacate a number of buildings, while retaining and bringing up to code 34 more.

The slop of the roof is quite noticeable in this photo. Notice the flooded street at Hayes & Van Ness from today's rain

Wow!

I'm out of town for the winter but reading about all the rain. FYI, another nice day in paradise (southern Arizona) though we are supposed to get some sprinkles tomorrow night and Monday morning.

I don't know whether this flooding is due to the BRT project or not but I am sooooo tired of having the street torn up for that (and the mess it has caused other than flooding), I was glad to get away just so I wouldn't have to keep looking at it. Seems like they are building whole neighborhoods in Mission Bay faster than they are replacing some pipes and pavement on Van Ness.

Flooded intersections, metro stations, highways, and numerous other things were widespread across the City today after our torrential deluge on Saturday afternoon. It’s better than a drought or, to me, southern Arizona.

Hard to beat (almost) perpetual 70 degree sunny days with views of snow-capped mountains (you're a "viewguy"), excellent Mexican food, no crime or graffiti, not a panhandler in sight etc etc. I need a break from deepening chaos of SF every 6 months or so and the Sonoran Desert can be really quite beautiful.

Pedestrian The big reason for the flooded streets was the incredicle amount of heavey rain in a few minutes. I saw drops of rain that at first I thought were hail balls they were so big. In 48 years in San Francisco I have rarely seen rain fall like this. A preview of the climate changes to come? Loved your animated gif!
