I'm excited to see all of you talented photographers on here post pictures of this foundation work. I don't believe I've ever seen top down construction or secant wall construction before.

Very exciting and great job to JDL for getting this thing going.

Thanks Harry! Great shots as usual. I'm not in the buisness so I get my education from you all. Thank you and keep the info and pictures flowing. Greatly appreciated.

There's a pretty decent perch at the garage at One Superior Place.

Great shots everyone!

When the diagram page gets updated I'm gonna sit and marvel at the first tower in that 950+ (to roof) mid range ever built here. The skyline will look much more varied from a distance.

How long will the basement and foundation take to build?

What happens when somebody drops something down one of those deep caisson tubes? Do they even bother trying to retrieve it?

There is a special cage for lowering workers int the shaft - haven't seen one at this site yet.

^ LOL. If TUP didn't run his mouth and write checks his banana suit can't cash, he wouldn't be in this mess. If you say you're going to put on the suit, you put on the suit.

With regard to dropping things down the hole, I remember watching them working at Optima. They sent a duct taped time capsule down there just before pouring a big belled caisson. There is really no point though, because once it's buried under a 500' building, 100' into the earth, encased in concrete, it's gone for absolutely ever.

^ Seriously, future beings are probably only slightly more likely to find this time capsule than they are to find the Voyager I and II probes that have left the solar system.

Perhaps this time capsule contains a gold LP with a recording of "hello" from hundreds of human languages?
