This is Vancouver House, which has already become a fan favourite in Vancouver (and even within the Canada section).
It is being built along the west side of the Granville Street Bridge on the downtown peninsula. When complete it will act as a "Gateway" tower into downtown.
All of these pics are taken by our members Klazu and mcminsen on the Vancouver section.
Thank god for this building. Vancouver is nice, but it must be the most sterile, uninspiring city aesthetically that I've ever been to. good to have a building like this mixing things up.

Vancouver proposals have really turned things around over the last couple years, starting with this tower but several more fantastic towers have started site prep / are soon to start construction.
Gawd, I love a BIG.DK project... This one is turning out to the best addition to the skyline in decades. Love that this one and Telus Sky in Calgary are rising at the same time... Both really cool projects...
Is there a protective paper coating on the metal panels?

Such a great addition to the skyline. Is that brick one-story shanty in the last picture not part of the project?

I really want to like this tower, but it hurts my brain to look at it
I sincerely hope this is one of those buildings that looks better in person because I just can't get into it through the pictures
