Great photos! So much more informative than the official construction camera.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

I will be in downtown Detroit again on the 23rd although I doubt that the construction will have progressed significantly in just 13 days, so I most likely won't be taking more photos.

Tower will have grown by a few floors by then, I say go for it.

I was watching the Tigers play today and could see the cranes and just the top of the construction. I can't wait to see this completed.

^^
Out of curiosity, I search for some photos on Flickr showing the view.

For comparison, the same view from years before.

Having a smaller footprint than the Block, the Tower may indeed rise faster. I will try my best to swing by the site on the 23rd.

Crain’s reports an “Edition” Hotel for the Hudson’s Tower.

Edition has been rumored for awhile now so not surprised. I think the owner of the chain was talking about the tower some months ago. This is ultra luxury.

Thanks for the tip! That's how I took the third photo.
Wow looking great! Can't wait to see this when finished. Also the glass should be coming soon on the shorter tower hopefully! More photos por favor.

^ Good video! On the 23rd I was carrying so much luggage and the weather was so unpleasantly hot that I decided not to stop by the construction site. Probably won't be there again until November.

Looks lovely. Very high quality tower. My only minor gripe is I would've liked to have seen the curtain wall extend further down to the street level and getting rid of that massive awning, or at least blended in better for a cleaner look. It seems like a rather abrupt transition to where the ceiling of the lobby begins.

Wow! Can you just imagine this coupled with those Monroe Blocks renders we saw a couple years back. Here’s hoping the MB will happen.

Outside of NYC and Chicago, this has to be a top 3 development in the US.

I can't wait to see how this project, Michigan Central Station and the book tower contribute to Detroit's feel.
