So, absolutely NO design thought given whatsoever to the parking podium. It's literally a regular parking garage with a (rather boring) building on top. In the heart of downtown. Pitchforks, anyone? I'm tired of this trend!

I noticed the pdf listed the height as 325 feet instead of 319 feet.

This is consistently referred to as an "apartment" project in the PDF instead of "Condo". But the developer is from New York where the term "Apartment" is used for "for sale" units.

I like the look of the parking in those renderings. It's like a combination of Third + Shoal and the Bank of America Center. Seems to have good street level interaction, too. Great project for the area.

Please Allah let there be a grocery!

Note: "Arts District". Back to our debate. IT is what the bus stop is called on Lavaca.

Back to the drawing board for this one. The Design Commission didn't like it.

Any idea why? I mean, it's not ground breaking...but wonder why.

The design commission actually gave some fairly deft critiques of this project.

This is on the agenda for Monday's Design Commission meeting. There were no apparent changes to the tower, but they tweaked the ground floor and Great Streets. Here are some updated street level renderings. The updates made since the June meeting are in the backup file.

The parking garage screening still sucks from what is shown.

The Design Commission approved the density bonus based on the changes made since the June meeting.

It was noted in today's ABJ that the tower went from 27 to 28 stories and a request for comment on the height increase went unreturned.

New elevations with the increased floor count and height were posted for AULCC. It's 330' and 28-stories. The new elevations are on pages 39-42.

The site plan is still in review, but the construction permit was filed today.

Wow. It’s hard to keep up with all these projects. Is this one in capital corridor or west campus?
