With Skyrise, its questionable if its considered a supertall status. It does have multi-purpose uses such as a restaurant, nightclub, some office space, and conference room, and an observation deck. It is over 300m and/or greater than 984 Feet. If enough people don't want it on the list, I'll remove it. But I could also add the CN Tower as a trade off. I'll think about it, but for Miami, I think its closer to a functioning tower and thus a supertall.

But I'd be interested in hearing more feedback regarding Skyrise.

(no render available, only line drawings)
Thanks, I'll add them sometime during the week.

I was thinking. If you need help for some new projects to add to the SSP database and map, feel free to PM me. I can work side by side with you to show you the projects that I feel should be added. Especially for the NYC section and Miami-Dade.

I title all my posts in the compilation, especially for high rises, so feel free to add them to the map as a couple of NYC high rises are missing.

I try to use the latest figures. I know for some supertalls, this will change (like India's tallest reduced over half the size in the last two months).

This applies for other users. If there are changes or updates to certain supertalls, lets say a proposal in Europe or India for example, feel free to add a comment here. I wanted this to be a discussion on supertalls, updates, and so on.

- Chris E.

Edit: If SSP needs an extra hand for the database, I'm up for the job. I can volunteer for it. I have consistent records on these projects and documenting them. For: NYC and its satellites, Miami-Dade

Just a thread note: This front page will get pretty beefy once I add China in. But I will let you guys know when I add the links, which will make navigating it much easier.

US proposed, Europe proposed, and the beginning of the China section will be up by this weekend. Still doing research. China is nuts, just nuts.

Also will add height/floor data to most of the projects listed by this weekend. I will also update some of the photos/renderings. Some I'm not happy with, so in essence, I will try to reduce the size of some, to make it an easier browsing experience. Will also add Canada too.

Saturday Thread Update:

1) For Saturday, what was done:

A) Finished all of the U.S. and did all of Europe and Malaysia. Last two are completely new.

B) Added titles to all of the projects (except India, will do tomorrow)

1B) Note: For some projects, I left the title with no rendering as either renderings aren't available or proper info is not revealed. Some are in the NYC supertalls.

C) The first page just got a lot bigger.

D) If I'm missing some for those sections or my figures are off, let me know. Accuracy is important for me.

I'm just a bit confused that some of the ones on the lists don't reach 984 feet.

Which ones? I will change them if they are outdated. Some of the info was a couple of months old, and with supertalls, they tend to vary. One day they are over a 1000 feet, another they are half the size.

A really rough graph of when cities joined/will join the supertall club. I'm positive there are a few cities missing and likely a few other issues. I could try and fix it if anyone notices.

On compilation:

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

I've covered almost every country except China.

What I will do for China is on a city bases. Given the large amount of supertalls there, it would be a clusterfuck if I put every proposed, u/c, approved, ect. on one post so instead, on a city basis.

What this will do is make it easy to see the projects, and make it neater.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Current Status for now (finished):

1) All U.S. supertalls
2) All European supertalls including Russia (europe/asia)
3) South America
4) Malaysia
5) Canada (see post #20 :: Thanks "Insertnamehere" for the data

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Added today:

1) Hong Kong (SAR)
2) Will add Shanghai in the next 30 minutes.

Feedback?

Feel free to respond or add data. Remember, this is a compilation which can include discussion on all global supertalls.

Cool super tall site (French): http://www.supertalls.fr/

French to English translation works nicely. Thanks remy59660 for your work on the site.

A lot of work. It would be interesting if you included observation towers as well. There are probably maybe 2 dozen supertall observation towers in the world?

Its there, under the U.S. section. I fixed a broken image link, probably why it didn't show.

Yeah these type of threads, especially the compilations require a strong internet. Lots of material per page.
