Speaking of Bettman, he was in Ottawa yesterday and met with the Mayor and the NCC. He didn't offer up a whole lot of info, but what I gathered was around six bidders are left, the land the Sens have a claim to at LeBreton is too small (but the NCC may be able to provide more), if the Sens move, it's only to downtown (if even) and Reynolds may have bet on the wrong horse (based on his tone when he said something along the lines of "he made a decision, I respect that and wish him the best of luck").

Sneaked out a 5-4 win over Arizona to help give us some room, but man we play down.

Worse than missing calls where a goalie doesn't play the puck or try to make a save, just tackles the player in front of the net?

It wasn't a particularly strong game from the zebras IMO, but at the time those penalties were called, the game sorted itself out.

L.A. - Edmonton should be a cracker this Thursday as they are now fighting for 2nd in the Pacific and 2nd in the Western Conference.

They have had our number all season and play us harder than anyone IMO.

Phoenix council will now be suing the neighbouring Tempe council to block construction of the hypothetical arena, on behalf of the airport there.

We did knock them out of the playoffs last year, pretty handily... they may have a bit of revenge plotted.

Really? Pretty sure LA had a 3-2 lead after game 5.

He meant knocked the Flames out handily.

With so much winning, it's easy to forget who you beat the wheels off of.

FLA/TOR and MIN/COL were amazing last night. It's starting to feel a lot like playoffs.

NJ/NYR and LA/EDM are on the docket tonight. Both are likely 1st round matchups.

Edmonton LA are unlikely to be first round matchups.

More likely Edmonton Col or Edmonton Seattle.

I'm not sure what you are seeing in the standings.

First place overall plays second wild card team. Second highest division winner plays first wild card team. The 2nd and 3rd teams in each division play each other.

Right now, that would mean:

Vegas - Winnipeg
Minnesota - Seattle
Dallas - Colorado
Los Angeles - Edmonton

I don't really see Los Angeles or Edmonton catching Vegas and they are far enough from Winnipeg and Seattle right now. Edmonton needs to drop into the wild card area or get ahead of Vegas and Los Angeles to make that a different matchup.

I can see Colorado winning their division, although Minnesota stole one last night. All that would mean Edmonton still plays Los Angeles.

I am hopeful as to the rest of the games moving some matchups around so we avoid LA... maybe too hopeful.

Oh hi.

Was that our best game of the year?

Skinner was incredible.

The Jets play tomorrow, so I anticipate them choking.

The only exciting race left, is the tank war for Bedard.

Chicago is really putting the pedal to the metal, as they ahve lost 7 in a row, and now are dead last, with a 25.5% chance at Bedard.

San Jose won 2 in a row, and now are 3rd last.

Columbus lost in OT, so they are 2nd last.

Anaheim is bad, but they really have to dig in deep. Maybe send their starter for "conditioning" to the AHL, while cutting ice time for hungry young players like Mason MAcTavish.

It wasn't. It was Skinner's best game of the year.

Great pass by Draisaitl. I do not want to play Korpisalo in the playoffs.
