What about a very small 2-level 8 store outdoor section? Only reason I ask is because it really fits in with the building, and I already spent about an hour and a half working pretty hard on that particular section. I really don't want to delete it.

Also, are two towers mandated? In the original post, it sounded like two were optional, but in the replies it sounds like it's mandated.

Thanks,
Anthony

Having a terrible time with my tower. I just can't really decide what I want to do.

Textures are impossible and kerkythea is just plain hard to learn. Whats really funny is Skyscraper100 didn't even use textures on his. He just did a lot of fancy lighting and backrounds.

GAH!

why focuss so much on textures and rendering, unlike the cities this is not as much for eye-candy as it is for design, aka the clay model. isn't it?

Yup. SPP100 rendered his tower and just edited the background in Photoshop. Which is what I do. Anyways, no, the two towers aren't mandatory. Only a max of two towers. And I've spent a lot of time on my base too which is why I don't wanna delete it and my base wouldn't make sense if it didn't have a small amount of boutiques and a restaurant or two.

Anyways, good to hear you'll be joining in Vertical. I already have my tower foundation [the clay model]. I'm now working on the base and I'm almost done, this is the hardest part. Then will come the main tower which will be fairly easy if I use components and finally the roof which will the the other hard part. Hopefully I'll finish in time.

Thanks Aleks! Good to hear that boutiques and restaurants are allowed, it was a bit off putting when I read no malls were. I love hotel buildings.

Does a six story parking garage count along with two towers as three towers. If that is the case then I have to restart

Yeah I guess so. Clay model as in really simple or is this some sort of sketchup feature I am missing?

Thanks, I wonder if I will have a chance of getting a vote. In the last competition I didn't get one vote.

Nice logo. But wait, I never allowed anything. Technically I can't because it's not my comp. I was just assuming.

Anyways, I like your logo SSP100. I'll probably make one too. Just to try it out. And wow, I didn't even know you could do that in Kerk. But anyways, can't wait to see the entries at the end pf this comp.
