Perlis Inland Port (PIP)
Chuping, Perlis
https://www.ncer.com.my/strategic-pr...land-port-pip/
http://www.iktisas.com.my/mechanical...nfrastructure/
PIP was established as a catalyst for logistics development in Perlis and to facilitate cross-border trade between Malaysia and Thailand.

This project will serve as the state’s new gateway for trade, specifically for container routes passing through Padang Besar. It involves the development of inland port facilities with a capacity of 2 million TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) annually, as well as the development of commercial facilities and logistics over an area of 375 acres to cater to the export markets.
The PIP project will be carried out via a public-private partnership, where the Federal Government through NCIA will develop the external infrastructure, while the private sector will develop the inland port along with other components.

Once completed, PIP will transform Perlis into an international border town and logistics hub. It is expected to create about 4,000 jobs and generate a Gross National Income of RM1 billion.
