They have a prairie donair in neepawa and it's delicious. I stop there when driving through all summer. Sadly their location is not great there and not a lot of people coming in (from what I've seen ). I hope it catches on there. Very friendly people there.

The Portage Ave location became an R&R before the pandemic started.

The Mcphillips location was shut down due to health violations on Thursday but owners have said they will not be re-opening (they didn't mention the health violations but said it was due to not recovering from covid).

I've been to Prairie Donair a few time in Regina, it's across from the hockey complex / hospital, it's fairly good but nothing like Les Saje in Winnipeg!

Never heard of Osmows before until watching World Jr this year, it seems like every 3rd commercial was for them. looking forward to trying them out.

I recall coming back from Alberta in 07, and nobody even knew what a Donair was!

Speaking of 2007, I worked as a cook at Original Joe's. It had 4 locations in Calgary, one in Red Deer, and one in Edmonton. Now it's all over the place. WHen visiting in 2013, I was shocked to see one off Grant and Kenaston.

It's only a matter of time before Winnipeggers are introduced to mouth-watering Mucho Burrito Mexican Food, another Alberta based food chain expanding eastward.

There’s already a mucho burrito on McGillivary next to the Canadian Tire. I’ve never tried it but thanks for the recommendation.

Their burritos are top notch. It has a Subway-type setup, where one can choose what meat and veggies they want on the burrito.

I went to the Macaroni Company on Friday. They have confirmed the Mitchell Block/Macaroni people are moving over to Friskee's on Main St. Target opening is in March. But the server admitted it may be a bit longer.

Friskee's sign is up on building, main doors and window still boarded up. happy they painted the building darker in the Fall, Earls made it a pale grey and it was f-ugly.

Coffee Place is in the old Fat Panda location at Greene and Henderson.

Fat Panda moved to the north end of that block and is in the former Vic's tax storefront at Roberta.

Visited "Devil May Care" brewing on Fort on Sat night. Enjoyed 2 nice beers, was very quite, only 10 others. Really enjoyed them though. Looking forward to organizing a walking brew crawl in Spring. I figure them, then Lake of the Woods, then Little Brown Jug, then Nonsuch. That a 3km walk.

I'm not aware of that chain ever having a presence here.

Nope. I have never understood why, as it would likely enjoy the same success as it's siblings Earls and Joeys.
