In Montreal Gazette Trevor Harris says he is likely hitting free agency due to ownership uncertainty in Montreal and Gary Stern never was a fan of his. I guess this likely means Fajardo rejoins Mass in Montreal and Harris lands in Saskatchewan.

Could just be a negotiation tactic. Harris is the "safe" veteran... will help the offence get yards, but has never been the difference maker to lead a team to glory.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some movement among the "available" QBs before mid-February though.

Pretty sure it's fake but still funny!

Now THAT would put the CFL on the map for the mass American market.

No chance of it happening. But still.

haha. Many people don't know that Tom Brady was drafted by the Expos in 1995.

It appears the best receiver in the CFL Kenny Lawler is set to return to the Bombers!

I'm hearing there are some concerns that there is an outside chance Montreal could fold before the season. Faint possibility right now, but gaining steam with the ongoing turmoil with ownership. I don't think the other teams will bail them out like they did in 2019 given all the financial damage done from missed 2020 season.

This is on Ambrosie if they fold again. You don't get a 89 year old owner without a contingency plan if he croaks.

And Farhan Lalji has stated that there are some Montreal groups who want to buy the team again.

Ambrosie got all stupidly giddy about Stern and his father-in-law that he didn't think about the long term issues. They didn't sign the president who was turning things around for them, all their players want to leave.

Ambroise has to be let go if this indeed the s**t show it's turning out to be. He and the board helped with this mess.

Ambrosie is the mouthpiece of the owners/governors. So both of them wear the CFL turmoil.

All of us outsiders see the problems and the solutions. Why these highly placed folks can't see how far the league has fallen over the years is puzzling to a slug like me.

One thing I am curious about is whether Lapointe is one of the interested parties for the Als. It seems like he has been trying to buy a team in any league for years, but for whatever reason is never successful. If the alternative to him owning the team is the Als folding, it may be his best chance.

I think they can see the problems, and honestly likely see additional problems the public doesn't even know about. I just don't think the League has any money to actually address any of them. It'd be a terrible look for Ambrosie to come out and say this, mind you, so that's why we always get good ol' Uncle Randy at the State of the League address where all he can really do is give nothing answers when fans are literally telling him to his face that the League needs to change.

The other ownership options for the Als from 3 years ago probably weren't that attractive as some people make them out to be like that one group led by Lapointe I think which had something like 20 people in the ownership group. Rather unwieldly with that many people involved.

I think I saw a tweet saying Montreal will sign Crapjardo. Poor Montreal. Hopefully they can secure Evans assuming he is released by Hamilton and has to sign a new contract.

Farhan and Naylor both reporting a ownership transfer to a new group of the Alouettes could happen in the coming days or weeks at the most. Fingers crossed.

Apparently yes! At least Wikipedia hasn't noted a date of death

He's 84. Maybe he can avenge himself for the last time he owned the Alouettes, which ended in them folding?

Maybe we will get lucky and a Gleiberman of some sort will emerge as a frontrunner.

Or is Sherwood Schwarz still kicking around too?

I think Braley would have stepped in. RIP.
