That's supertall length of schedule.

Granted, this building has an intricate design and the site is unique with water on two sides, but still, that's an unusually long construction schedule. I just checked the construction dates we had posted to the building's page in SSP's database, and they were 2019 to 2021, and there's no way at this point that it'll be done this year.

I don't think you can say this looks bad for them. No one could have predicted the logistical troubles that Covid caused.
There were world-wide construction material shortages going back as far as 2017. Those shortages are still prevalent and will continue through at least 2021 (and more than likely beyond due to COVID). Thus, the slower construction schedule.

Yeah, every time we make it downtown we see that the fences are still up. My oldest son, for one, is particularly excited about that playground. We haven't gone in because generally I try to teach him not to trespass, haha....

I believe we've entered the "entrance" period of this one--It's finally piercing that annoying 400ft plateau. I absolutely love the glass choice they made as well....it's not pink/coral/gold but I have settled

Looking at Google maps, it must be. I also did a double-take... man it's been a long time since I've been downtown

Also, I think the northern facade, despite being this building's most "boring" side, is really looking good. The glass is great and the stripes are a nice surprise I didn't pick up from the renders.

Seriously. Back in the early 90s, I would have been hanging out the car window snapping photos of a new 10-story building and marveling at it back then. Now 10-story buildings are cute.

Hard to believe this city went through a 14 year drought where no building over ~200ft was constructed (1987-2001). Unfathomable today.

The Loren's webcam is now using a wider perspective, incorporating the skyline and a great view of Block 185

I can see the light...

Honestly, with that shot I finally have a good feeling about Block 185 ("the sail"), based on what it actually looks like vs. the original renderings. I had been concerned that I was going to be disappointed with the building, when finished. However, now I think it's going to be a beauty and the signature tower for downtown shots from the southwest.

Great pics. The eastern facade is shaping up a lot more nicely than my impression from the renders. Now we'll see how they execute the squiggliness of the south face.
