A little bit of the first two! I don't have a big enough budget for consistent track days, so my enthusiast driving is limited to occasional track days and autocross, and so mainly I'm just a weekend canyon warrior.

High five!

I used to compete in time attack and autocross (solo I and II).

Did my race school way back in 03' but didn't have the cash to move it forward.

Whoa nice! I just recently switched up my tyre set up. Trying out the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R. Had Michelin PS4S prior to this. Any experience with the Bridgestones?

Only have only run on Bridgestones. They are so damn consistent and while not always top grip, far more predictable and lasting. I'd drive to events on them, run the event and drive home while others were still in the paddock

140 treadwear also kept you out of 'race' categories in time attack.

I have run the 01Rs (for years) 11Rs and am now on 71Rs and absolutely love em.

They are also more affordable than 'top brands' such as Mich et al.

I run 16" rims and often get full sets of 225/45 or 50/16s for $600-750.

Saw this yesterday (Friday, 6.4.21) on my way to dinner and snapped a picture. I'm not familiar with the brand; is it a McLaren?

Good eye! That is indeed a McLaren. Looks to be the 720S.
