The ~3 storey high area at the top sure looks nice. Is that a common area of some kind?

Carlton is closed between Graham and St Mary. The Wawanesa sign will be lifted by crane and attached on Wednesday. Prep for that today and tomorrow.

And Saturday they are closing Graham between Carlton and Edmonton until the first week of May.

The crane is down, and Carlton is reopened. I guess the remaining letters will be installed by swing stage?

That level (I'm assuming it's an office floor?) behind the letters looks amazing with the soaring wraparound glass. If I had an office on that floor it might be enough to make me want to physically return to it!

That's where the CEO sits haha Glass tower in the sky.

I had commented on that in my earlier post. Had assumed maybe it was part of the mechanical area. But that closer photo looks like the mechanical is above that level and it is indeed an office.

That looks like the 3 storey atrium.

Whatever's going in there, and my guess is it'll be a staff common area (lounge that converts to a place to host events), there will be some significant howling coming from the sign whenever a decent wind blows over it. The Scotia sign on the north side of 242 Hargrave causes a pretty good howl in a wind.

If only they added the I, that would have been “Insane.”

Carlton closed this upcoming week for work on extending the skywalk.

Guess now we’ll see what the final decision was on the alignment.

Hey, Grump is taking pictures again! Awesome.

...you'd have though they would have put those piles in while the building was under construction though.

Well, if Northland ever decides to fire up their project or if you could drop a bug in Chipper's ear about them buying out Gagliardi and taking it over themselves, maybe I'd have more things to take pictures of! LOL

Turns out it's an auger. They're lowering in cylindrical rebar and filling it with concrete.
