This is definitely stretching it, but you can go from Nevada to Arizona to Utah through the Virgin River Gorge in about 30 minutes (I-15). It's a drive that everyone should make in their lifetime. Can't began to describe the scenery.

For countries not states, I did this on a bicycle when my sister was living in Aachen, Germany. Just to the west there is a three-way border between Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Roughly here:
Drielandenpunt NL, BE & DE

DC isn't a state but you might be able to go from Maryland - DC - Virginia in five minutes, depending on traffic.

From here, walk about 100 yards west, away from the river and make a left on this dirt road and you'll end up in California on the West Bank of the Colorado River:

^ Traveling south down the river from the Avi Resort & Casino, I found a place where you can travel from Baja California to California to Yuma, AZ in 11 minutes of time.

https://www.google.com/maps/dir/32.7...a=!4m2!4m1!3e0

Los Algodones, Baja California:
https://goo.gl/maps/KFZiXdvCKyGW5mRp9

Winterhaven, California:
https://goo.gl/maps/wkanvrKHQzigjv94A

Yuma, Arizona:
https://goo.gl/maps/JKvSRwR5Wi4E8pT59

You could probably figure out a way to hit 4 states, Sonora, Baja California, Arizona and California, but it would require more time. Could probably be done in less than 30 minutes?

The drive from St. George to Las Vegas, through that tiny corner of Arizona is incredible.

Hmmm...I live in central Texas. This exercise doesn't compute.

There are a few places on the edges where this could work though, but not in five minutes. Texarkana can be in four different states in approximately half an hour, I suppose (TX, AR, OK, LA). You can also get from the Texas border across the Oklahoma panhandle to Colorado or Kansas in about half an hour. Add in the NE corner of New Mexico for grins. El Paso obviously has Mexico and New Mexico for a quick trip. Can't think of others with more than one border nearby.

My regular drive from my Southeastern Quebec hometown to my properties in far northern New Hampshire passes in a perfectly straight line through a very thin sliver of Vermont (as pointed out already).

It's closer to one minute than two, actually. Maybe even less than a minute...

Amusingly, it's not reversible: on the way back home, I do NH-VT-QC in a straight line in less than a minute, but you can't legally do it the other way, since the customs buildings in both cases are well into the country and you have to stop there.

Well, you actually can also do it the other way if you must (QC-VT-NH in a minute, getting over the Connecticut River bridge before the white and green Chevy Tahoes have managed to stop you), since there's no physical barrier preventing it. But I wouldn't recommend it

Doable?

I was poking around Google Maps for a single road where you could do the MA-RI-CT border, but Douglas State Forest prevents this. You could do it easily with two roads, but not one.
Salisbury to Kittery? Definitely.

Been there. Pretty cool to be in three countries all at once.

How about a 3 minute drive from New Mexico, touching the corner of Texas, on your way to Oklahoma, all on the same roadway?!

Texhomex, lol

If you're a farmer, you can walk to all three states in 30 seconds, checking on your fields.

It definitely can be done in 5 minutes. You can do New Mexico-Oklahoma-Texas in 1 second: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tr...4d-103.0024338

Same for Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Th...!4d-94.0430418

If you don't mind getting your feet wet, you can pace around in the Chattooga River, and visit Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina while out hiking.

Likewise, you can add some spice to your holiday by visiting what appears to be a Christmas tree farm on the border of North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

And that's it for Canada.

I’ve done both routes, but the Qc/NH/Vt only once, whereas I crossed the Qc/NY/Vt lines many times.

There are many striking differences between the three jurisdictions.

Certainly not in coastal California. I basically had to get on an airplane when growing up if I ever wanted to see another state.

Also, I guess not in Hawaii or Alaska either.

Increase the maximum time to 45 minutes (and ignore the current border mess), and you can start in Yukon, drive across the BC "panhandle" and end in Alaska.

The other road to the west is about ten minutes more to cross BC.

But for here in Fairbanks, yeah...

I was going to drive up to Fairbanks for some northern light photos when I was up there in April thinking it was a only a couple of hours from Anchorage. Take some pics and head right back. Nope...

DE/PA 896 goes through Maryland for about 600 feet. It takes about 10 seconds to go from Delaware to Maryland to Pennsylvania.
