its crazy that the cement trucks have to turn west on chestnut to dump their loads. That has to be a pain to coordinate

First couple floors are always slow, especially the first floor when there is an underground parking garage as is the case here...I'm sure it will pick up. I wonder, though, if this kind of building is slower than the typical steel-frame construction for most commercial buildings. Maybe Whu knows.

They've been making good progress since they finally fished out the last of the surprises hidden under the old parking lot and excavated the basement hole. Lobby floors tend to take a while; expect construction pace to accelerate to about a floor a week once they're on the main structure.

So, topped out in a year, give or take.

Do we expect floor plans to hit the public for a hotel? There are no condos to sell in connection with this project.
