The skyscraper is a nice addition for Cleveland. I still joke about the city a lot, but the S-W HQ is a nice addition. Speaking of jokes, with Bob Hope, Steve Harvey, and Drew Carey being from Cleveland, doesn't Cleveland have a comedy festival? It seems like Cleveland has a plentiful source of comedic talent within the area. I should know, I was shipmates with two guys that are from Cleveland and one of them has embarked on a comedy career. I guess NE Ohio has jokers, too!

That streetwall is something else, the architecture is unique but has a certain uniformity to it as well that’s aesthetically pleasing. The new Sherwin Williams HQ will add add a nice modern presence and heigh differential that will fill out the streetwall but stays in the wavelength of its vibe.

I gotta ask though what’s that building with the black cylindrical structure, it’s cool but in an odd way like it’s the Cleveland branch of the M.I.B. or something.

^Thanks! The neoclassical buildings are part of the Group Plan of 1903. http://www.clevelandmemory.org/groupplan/index.html. The cylindrical tower is the Louis Stokes wing of the Cleveland Public Library, the lower section was designed to be complementary with the other Group Plan buildings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Stokes_Wing

Final height will be about the height of the crane.

Not sure of the exact height, but here’s the progress, courtesy of ASPhotoman at the UrbanOhio forum.

So the crane is almost at the full height of the building? I'm assuming the crane itself will get one final jump.

^More than likely, in order to construct the crown.

From yesterday, the construction in the foreground is this apartment complex (not going to win any awards but given how barren and desolate that stretch has been, ah well ) On the far right is the City Club apartments under construction.
