A bit OT, but I wonder how tall they could at Rainforest? It's not a very large site, but I could see something the size of 60 W. Erie or 8 E. Huron going in there.

Never happened of course..
Loyola owns it, they have long term plans to redevelop that entire block. Hopefully the nice victorian building on the corner doesn't fall prey to the institutional preservation trap.

Used to live right at that corner in the red brick low rise. Loyola does own it but i bet they end up selling it and then building elsewhere with the money....new law school building on on Pearson would be my guess....?

Not a chance, they know what they are sitting on. If anything they would develop it in partnership with New Castle like they did on the old bookstore site at State and Elm. They would make way more money that way. They just renovated that entire building at the SE corner of Wabash and Pearson a few years ago to be a dedicated law school. They have no such need in the near term.

State and Elm? Thought they sold their parcel on Chestnut and then they built the new Quinlan business school (Schreiber Center) on Pearson by doing that. The Law school now moved into where the business school used to be. A fantastic library at the top of that building.

That Tower A crane has to be pretty close too. Probably within the week.

That's definitely not the texture we were all expecting, but this looks promising. First impression -- I like it!

It looks like they're 40 (?) stories in the air in less than a year?! Wow just wow.

Thank you for the incredible photos.
Big building - I count that they're up 32 or 33 floors. So at this rate they'll probably be half way up (around 40 floors) next month sometime, right?

The impact this building will have on the skyline (especially from N or W) cannot be understated
