The curves in the concrete look great already.

As I've said before this will have a huge impact on the skyline from popular vantage points like Alder.

By Lolla next year this thing should be an absolute unit hovering over the T-Mobile stage!

Also, I know that the night rendering probably deliberately tones down the rest of the City's lighting, but it does remind me that Chicago is not very well illuminated at night.
Looks great so far. Can't wait to see the more angled curved glass.

To be clear, the rendering above is the old design. Hard to find a close-up of the new design, but it's this:

I have a feeling this is going to turn out better than we expected.

(... that is, if no one posts renderings of the original design.)

Losing the Michigan Ave facing inset balconies was worth it in my opinion.

Now if they had eventually been removed from the original design as well...

Has anyone ever seen a rendering of the building from the west or NW?

It's a mirror image, or I guess copy of what you see to the east.

Thank you for braving the weather to get this shot! Beautiful photo, and I've been hoping to see an update again soon. It's starting to make its presence felt around the South Loop.

I snapped this photo just now, on a Greyhound bus. 1000M is getting prominent!

I had to squint to count how many floors the structure is at. The core seems to be past 40 floors! Based on their pace the past few months, they'll likely top-out anywhere from mid-Spring to early-Summer.

Facade on the base looks really sharp. Let's hope the tower portion turns out equally well-executed -- that's one area where VE may raise it's ugly head.

Crazy to think that its still got almost 30 floors to go! Its already such a massive presence on Michigan Ave and Grant Park.

It's going to be quite impressive to see during Lolla in 2023.

It will really boil down to whether they used curved facade panels or flat ones. That will be the difference between a good tower and a great tower.
