Almost. That layer doesn't appear to be part of the foundation, but rather a waterproofing layer beneath. But as soon as we see rebar being laid, will move to the Highrise Construction subforum. This looks very close.

Nice! So, mat slab foundation with this one, no caissons. Once we see rebar on site, we'll move this to under construction.

16th street is closed right now, I'm pretty sure the tower crane is going up.

Ah ha. I figured that something major was happening with this. Sansom between 15th and 16th had been reopened to thru traffic since they made Oyster House and the others remove their Streeteries, but today the police had it blocked. Traffic was a complete disaster in that area today.

Speaking of traffic. 12th and Chestnut is gonna be the scene of a road rage shooting one of these days. It's been bad for a while now but people are so ornery and impatient over there between the merging and the inching along, waiting for pedestrians to cross and whatnot. Somehow they think that blasting their horns and flipping birds at each other is gonna open up that second lane.

^ I know each block of Sansom is different with loading and logistics, but a shame the city just said o well and re-opened fulltime to cars.

Taken from the square. Should fill in the gap nicely from this angle.

Really hope the depth and detail of the facade present in the renders doesn't get VEd as it did with the Laurel.

How do we know for sure the cladding was value engineered? Looking at renderings and models a d comparing to the real tower, they look similar to me

^^I believe this is the crane i saw from the convention center, it has a pretty good presence from where I stood.

Will this in anyway be visible on the skyline? Id imagine it will be some what seen from the south

I have heard that comment quite a few times and although there might be seemingly more texture in some of the renderings, I think it closely matches what they had intended. Don't think the façade was a victim of value engineering.
