And one more I'll share that I made this year... Like the other ones I posted on page 2 today.... This one took a long time.

Here's how this was made...you can see the small little building kits I used to make this building.

I've uploaded 16 new pictures to my photo set on this building today to my flickr account.

That said I still have a good 4-6 hours of work still to finish this building. I hope to have it done by tomorrow. Then I can start on my next project.

Here's one of my latest pics I've uploaded...and where the building is at this point.

This is the photo set of this building project...

Hey, great to see you back with us TGS. Awesome buildings, of course, but the litle brick rascal with the fire escape(^^) is a gem. Love the details. Look forward to more, thanks.

I was wondering if anyone has seen the December issue of Model Railroader magazine? Some pics and an article about Rod Stewart's layout. Amazing. Nearly all related to a big city.

Fantastic work Bob! The detailing becomes more and more exquisite with every model it seems. I also really love the buildings in natural lighting, it would be cool to see your entire city outdoors on a sunny day!

Thanks everyone!!!

Thanks Lover Fighter... I almost used your real name! When I finally unpack all my built buildings I plan on taking them out on a flat concrete surface to take some pics. I'll call you to see if you'd like to help set up a city scene outside. - thanks again for your compliment.

Here's my last project I finished yesterday.

If you want to see all the photos of this building and how I made it, you can see them here. There's a total of 62 pics of this buildings construction.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/5506372...th/5233741708/

I made it from this little building here.

Here's some pics of the final building..

I've kept the top unglued as I still want to be able to slide the back off so I can add lights and adjust floors when it comes to building the city.

I got the signs from a business magazine...the take the train sign came from an insert in the HO Walther's Catalog. Everything else is pretty self explanatory.

Again there's more pix on my flickr page I posted.

On to the next project.

I also have the latest issue too, but haven't scanned it yet.

Amazing work. Also his is all in HO which is basically twice the size of my models.

So this is where I'm at on my latest building. I still have a lot of work to do.

I uploaded a whole slue of pics onto my flickr account to how I got it to this point.
can be viewed here.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/5506372...th/5240057283/

I did a lot of cutting , grinding, sanding etc. I still have a lot of work to do to this building. It took a while to figure out how I would make use of all the extra parts to make this as tall as I could with the two kits.

More pics to come tomorrow or the next day. I'll hope to have this finished tomorrow.

Thanks Guys! I appreciate the warm feedback.

I started a new building last night. I started at about 7:30 after work..then quit at 2:30 in the morning...a good 5 hour venture...but I'm not quite half way through yet. I hope to have it finished tonight. If I do I'll post some pics on here tomorrow. I'm really happy with how it's looking. It's a pretty cool little project!

Thanks... Ex-Ithacan.

I really wish I could be building my layout...but I can't yet. So I keep building my structures for my future layout. though it's a lot of fun...

Here's my latest model...complete with Nimby's!!! AHHHH NIMBY'S

This was a very very very time consuming kitbash! I love how it turned out...and I am glad I'm done...Wow...what a lot of work.

Anyways before I post a few pics... I uploaded a bunch of pics to my flickr account and made a set for just this building. You can view how I made this and the rest of the photos here.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/5506372...th/5270323851/

I sold a build version of this building over a year ago..I was not happy with how it looked and It took me till this week to finally get to redoing that structure. Here's the building kits I bought off ebay.

Here's the final and completed model..

Like I mentioned .. please check out my other pics of this kitbash. I'll probably start another one this weekend... Though I'll take a day off tomorrow from any modeling...this one was a lot of work..though it was a lot of fun. I'm so happy with how it turned out.

All the best, Bob

I'm working on a new project this week now that Christmas is done.

I decided to take another pic of this building with my hand holding the structure so anyone browsing this thread can understand N scale size reference. It's 1:160 scale.

Here's the pic I took tonight.

I'll add some pics in the next week when I complete my next building. Cheers all.

These look really good. I'm telling you though...you should seriously consider buying a laser cutter. Small ones with service warranties run around $2000. Expensive up front, but you can do some great custom stuff and achieve level of detail and precision for N scale size

But you really seem to be doing just fine with these kits. Incredible work
