Maybe one of One Centrals towers could be 2,016 FT since its right next to soldier field, it's not baseball or the cubs home stadium but I don't think there's gonna be a 2,016ft tall skyscraper in Lakeview anytime soon.

I'm trying to be realistic, 1,492 is a realistic height, ~2000 is not for this project

One of the best buildings in the city and they couldn't bother using limestone or a light-colored brick? JFC

They did something similar on the old Sears building in Ravenswood. The addition is ugly and lazy.

Yeah I’m not a huge fan of the look but it’s far enough up where the low quality shouldn’t be too noticeable from ground level.

They also used these metal panels on the backside of the Cook County Hospital reno and I was not a fan.

Yeah the gray doesn't fit for me at all. Also cannot believe there is no masonry. All sins will be forgotten though if they build the new tower as currently designed.

You must hate the London House than since there's no masonry?

This looks good to me. They continued the art deco style without trying to do something crazy like a contrasting brick or, gasp, POMO. The metal will age better than anything with masonry. It would have looked odd to have a close but different shade of stone in 10 or 20 years. I like it.
