This is so perfect for Miami. It's got attitude, pops of color, yet it maintains grace and feels refined. Love the layering and landscaping around the base. Build this now!!

It’s not that great of a tower.

Miami proposes a lot of office towers but doesn’t build them.

Nobody’s building a lot of office towers. But Miami is just finishing one, is about to break ground on another and this which apparently has a large tenant.

Miami has never had much office proposals in the past. This is only a recent new wave of construction.

The only proposed offices since the 2000s I can remember were the Wells Fargo Center (Built), 600 Brickell Ave (Built), JP Morgan Tower (Built), Brickell Arch (Built), The Gateway at Wynwood (Built), Brightline Station Office Tower (Built), 830 Brickell (U/C), The Basel (Unbuilt), and 110 NE 10th St (Unbuilt).

EDIT: Also Brickell City Centre with their two office lowrises (Built).

I’m thinking of One Bayfront, Related’s alleged supertall office tower, and the Citadel “HQ.” I don’t think any will be built. Those sites will probably be condos. Miami is not a commercial hub.

NY is the only city building office towers.

I believe One Bayfront Plaza was turned to residential in the late 2010s. Regarding Citadel HQ, it was only recently proposed so I'm not sure what it'll be.

Related Co. is pretty keen on Miami office space, they'll be wrapping up demo and beginning construction most likely this year or next year on a 977 FT office tower.

This is not to say Miami is a commercial hub (it isnt), but any signs of growth is always welcome and previous signs indicate office construction is happening.

Miami is indeed becoming a commercial hub.

I believe this is Banco Santeder's second attempt at building a trophy tower in Miami. Let's hope it goes better than the first.

Actually, it's the very same site. I suppose they must have retained ownership over the parcel this whole time. Maybe a thread merger is in order.

Miami is not a commercial center. It has four F500 HQs, and they’re incredibly marginal companies:

•    No. 70 World Fuel Services (https://fortune.com/company/world-fu...es/fortune500/), based in Miami, $59.043 billion in revenue, 5,214 employees

    •    No. 119 Lennar (https://fortune.com/company/lennar/fortune500/), based in Miami, $33.671 billion in revenue, 12,012 employees

    •    No. 345 Ryder System (https://fortune.com/company/ryder-system/fortune500/), based in Miami, $12.011 billion in revenue, 48,300 employees

    •    No. 495 Watsco (https://fortune.com/company/watsco/fortune500/), based in Miami, $7.274 billion in revenue, 7,238 employees

^Ok we get it. Miami is not a commercial hub. But apparently this developer and Banco Santander think that this may be a decent bet. Too bad they don't have your superior knowledge.

Great looking tower and I love the red underbelly at the cap.

Like Related’s alleged office tower, no one is building this until
There’s a substantial pre-lease, which is not forthcoming. This tower is as aspirational as the 1,800” Oklahoma tower.

I like the design, not so much the bulky base.

The original design was the best, but I'll take this new design over nothing any day of the week.

If I was basing my understanding of the world on Wikipedia and what my parents and their friends were telling me offhand after watching cable news, I wouldn't be sharing that with people on the internet like this. But that's just me.

I like to cut the Florida towers a break over these enormous bases. It's not like they can dig down, you know?

Your assumptions are groundless, moronic, and bring to mind Felix Unger’s famous courtroom scene.

I love it! The top is really similar to 830 Brickell, another office building that's finishing construction:
