My banana suit is ready to go.

But I'm saving it for foundation drilling

If you insist...

You'll see drill rigs out there in mid-late April. Only site prep and demolition in the meantime.

^ Thanks for the tip. As TUP mentioned, it's proper forum protocol to wait until drill rigs are in the dirt before we don our banana suits. One-month for site prep sounds fast, which is good to see. Am I correct in assuming they'll be utilizing rock-socketed caissons here?

There is a mix of hardpan belled caissons, top-of-rock caissons, and rock-socketed caissons as well as a secant pile wall around the perimeter of the whole site.

Better go out and snap a few last photos of that “beautiful” parking lot before it is gone for good! 😉

Wow, that will make for some juicy foundation action. This will be the first secant wall of this scale we've seen since the Chicago Spire.

The three I've caught have been Spire, OMP, and 9Walton - there will be many more examples when I finish migrating Picasa to Flickr

I saw some construction equipment being hauled north on State street at 8:15 am. Maybe it was going to Chicago & State?

Crains just reported: the project landed construction financing mostly from Bank of the Ozarks.

Sterling Bay is out
Wanxiang is in as an equity partner

Total cost of financing: $850 MM.

Oh my oh my, I'm going to LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVE watching this rise..

This is great news on so many levels. As noted, Sterling can focus on Lincoln Yards on their other projects.

Ozarks are doing fine with NEMA, so this should go off with out a hitch as well.

Very excited for this! It'll vastly improve the area by ghetto McD's and connect better into Gold Coast. Plus, I'll have a great shot of it from my building's running track haha.

I'm going to change my primary banking to the Bank of the Ozarks!!!

This is now an all but certain, and rare, in geeky Skyscraper-Poker parlance, occurrence of a "900-High-Straight" of new/under construction at once coming on-line in the city (not many other cities in the world can probably ever lay claim to ever having been dealt this good of a "hand"- although I better be careful here as the "four-of-a-kind" presidential towers beats a straight!!):

900+ OCS
800+ Salesforce and 110N.Wacker
700+ BMO
600+ WPE and 25 W. Randolph
500+ OCS #2

YES!

Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
