Just having a little fun really - I don't have any problem with this project, and I don't think everything should be a skyscraper. It's just that when I see a tall proposal I get excited, the shorter ones don't excite me the same way.

Why the obsession with the tacky masts as of late? Effin' ridiculous.

The decoration on this tower is very minimal. The mast doesn't bother me. It is hardly even noticable.

I voted good....this is what Calgary's standard should be. I can see this building being here in a hundred years, and evolving with the city. Calgary does need more building like this...simple, refined, and with a sense of permanence.
I'm with you here CW.

I understand your frustration... but you have to realize that a few of us here are not Architects or anything remotely close, we just have a general fascination with tall buildings, ugly or otherwise. In fact I'd take the relatively boring but tall Chase Tower in Houston any day over the Bow... just because of what it would do for the skyline.
