Yes, it was restored last year. Including color lights and animated lights, which I can control once per night for 5 minutes if available

Do you know why they made Lib 2 Lights darker then 1? is it due to residents complaints about being to bright?

Two Liberty's lights were not fixed when One Liberty's were replaced. Two Liberty's lights look bad right now, bad enough they are just left off some nights.

That has to be the reason, because I remember Lib 1's lights were dark/out like that too, and then they did the replacement, but I could have sworn Lib 2 lights were replaced at that time as well.

Two Liberty's lights were slightly brighter than the badly maintained dim lights on One Liberty back in 2020. But after two years of planning the lights were restored, with Two Liberty Place left dim and recieved no upgrade. I seriously hope they upgrade it soon, it has to match One LP. And hopefully they're currently restoring the spire lights on One Liberty Place since the lights have been off for a bit

Ping the building’s management company and ask? Sometimes a nudge that shows them that people are noticing their laziness is all it takes for them to do something.

Oh how nice of them. They are mostly a surface parking lot business but nice to see them develop a few of their park lots into new bldgs.

I know The Lighting Practice LLC worked on the buildings lighting, along with the W/Element. But they have a good track record as they are responsible for the current lights that decorate the Empire State Building at night

Taken this morning. One Liberty was lit with the animated red white and blue lights to honor Queen Elizabeth. Arthaus was also red white and blue

There's a new crane in town...

Today they erected a tower crane at 32nd and Walnut, just past the Penn Rink. Not sure what building it's for?

A year or two ago, Penn had announced an addition to the Rittenhouse labs that presently end mid block between 32th and 33rd.

But that was nothing compared to this proposal shown above, wow---in a good way!

Of course, those are two different things (as you may know). The building currently under construction (Vagelos Laboratory for Energy Science and Technology) will house Penn's newly beefed-up energy research and teaching programs. Presumably, the separate renovation of DRL and construction of a new Physical Sciences Building are also still in the works:

Quote:
The reimagined DRL and the new Physical Sciences Building will also complement facilities at the Vagelos Laboratory for Energy Science and Technology (VLEST), which will be at 3200 Walnut Street and is scheduled for completion in fall 2024.

* * * *

With the new Physical Sciences Building placed strategically between DRL and VLEST, Penn’s new hub of physical science research will also be adjacent to the Singh Center for Nanotechnology, the Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter, Amy Gutmann Hall, the Chemistry Complex, and the Engineering Quad.
