There is a website for the project now - called The Halo Apartments.

Last construction update was January 2021 though.

We're thrilled to announce that we've broken ground and begun work at The Halo! Piles are in the ground, we've begun pouring walls, and the literal and figurative foundational work is under way and going well!

We'll continue updating this site as we move along, but for now...The Halo is HAPPENING!!!!

It's crazy how much is going on close to the south perimeter. I drove all the way down St. Mary's to the perimeter yesterday for the first time since before Covid and it's crazy how many new MFR buildings are there or u/c.

There has been a lot of development along St Mary's between Nova Vista and Warde the last couple of years. Especially along the west side by the river.

They are putting steel up on one of the towers. How does the status get changed to under construction from proposed?

I was by here today. They were flying steel at a good rate. They are at floor 4 or 5 depending on where you count from. It is going to be a big and prominent complex for sure.

Actually, when I googled that condo, this image of a St. Norbert Hotel by Otto Cheng Architect came up. Is this happening?

The project page is here in case the pic isn't loading... http://www.ocai-architects.com/st-no...ing-hotel.html

I drove past this site on the south Perimeter and it looks to be about double that height now... you can really see it sticking out now. It is starting to make an impact on the south Winnipeg skyline.

Considerable progress has been made they’re up to the 12th floor and it’s making a quite distinct presence in the Southwest Winnipeg skies.
