Some picture of the extension.
Nothing is really visible for the metro but the area around Front Populaire station in redevelopment.

The whole tunnel to Mairie d'Aubervilliers will be built but only the station Front Populaire will open in late 2012.

Gare Austerlitz (2016)
It is the least busy big railway terminal of Paris but its traffic should double by 2020.

Paris Region Moves Ahead with 125 Miles of New Metro Lines
Yonah Freemark May 27th, 2011

Months after regional and national officials agree to a huge plan for improving suburb-to-suburb connections, final decisions are made on future stations for Paris’ future supermetro. Completion of the initial project is planned for 2025.

In the developed world, few metropolitan areas are as dependent as Paris on their public transportation networks. Of mechanized trips within and into the central city, transit holds a majority mode share; in the 11.5-million-person Île-de-France region as a whole, almost 60% of all trips are made by foot, bus, or train. Part of the reason is that despite a century of continued development in the suburbs, densities are high throughout: The Petite Couronne (the inner ring of suburbs, with a collective population of about 4.3 million), for instance, is about as dense as the City of San Francisco.

But as in most cities, the increase in population outside of the central city (which now houses only about 20% of the region’s inhabitants) has until recently not been matched by significant investments in the transit network. Most new lines have been built either within the central city, such as the Métro Line 14, or radially out from it, like the RER E. Over the past few years, smaller projects like new tramways and bus rapid transit lines have assumed prominence, but their slow speeds and limited capacities have done little to improve circumferential travel around the city.

With yesterday’s announcement of the final route choice for the Grand Paris Express, however, that situation is set to change. After what was apparently Europe’s largest-ever series of public meetings and months of debate between local, regional, and national officials, the largest metro expansion on the continent and one of the most massive in the world is now under development. The national legislature is expected to approve the project and its financing this summer.

[...]

The scale of ambition in this Paris region project is stunning, especially since the hope is to concentrate 95% of the region’s job growth and two-thirds of its population growth within areas adjacent to network stations. Thanks to hard-fought cooperation between the regional and the national government, funding is assured for most of the project, and the result will be a tremendously improved transit system for the region’s inhabitants, especially those who live outside of the center city.

Today in morning rush hours, the RER was interrupted between Charles-de-Gaulle-Etoile and Nanterre because of smoke at la Defense station.

The project of the Grand Paris express subway is launched
Quote:
Arcadis lands role on new €23 bn Paris metro

Arcadis has won a €8m (£7.1m) contract to provide geotechnical and technical advisory services a new 155km automated metro line planned in Paris.

The Grand Paris Metro will circle the city of Paris and well over 130km will be underground. The new system will feature 72 stations and will interconnect with the existing public transport systems in Paris. The total construction costs of the Grand Paris Metro are estimated at €23bn. The line is expected to be completed in 2023. Client for the scheme is Société du Grand Paris.

Under this contract, Arcadis will lead, monitor and analyse the geotechnical investigations and define the geological and geotechnical models for the underground tracks and overpasses, including the stations. Arcadis will also verify and validate the conceptual design of each section as proposed by various engineering companies. The present contract is expected to last four years.

“This projects shows that governments continue with large infrastructure investments to solve major transportation challenges and strengthen their economies in the longer term”, said Nicolas Simonin, CEO for the French activities of Arcadis. “We are extremely proud to support this unique project. By combining our client focused approach, technical excellence in underground construction design and comprehensive risk management know-how, we were able to convince the Société du Grand Paris that Arcadis is the right choice for this project.”

The Pointe du Lac station is served by a recently opened busway. The line 393.

Line 393 at its western terminal stop "Thiais, Carrefour de la Résistance".

Where it uses the busway of the TVM.

Pointe du Lac, not only the bus 393 use the buway near this station. It is not visible in the map bellow as these bus lines are not RATP.
SETRA Line 23

STRAV Line K

Here a map of the line 393

Note that a new RER D station is under in construction at Pompadour, it should open by 2013 and will replace the old Villeneuve Prairie station.

Irisbus Crealis, line 91
This is one of two existing in the RATP network, (the other one is on the TVM). It was a test for the new bus line 393 but this bus model was too expensive and didn't offert much more than the Iribus Citelis 18.
