Okay that's fine. In some of the renders it looked like there was just going to be this big open, empty space and it looked really bad.
But this close up definitely looks better.

It probably won’t close until after the holidays. Unlike the Roosevelt Hotel, this one already has a development plan in place, so they shouldn’t have to pay anything.. The Roosevelt is still in limbo, even though they lost their case against the city. The Hyatt only partially reopened, but they are open. Even got the flags back up.

NYPD investigating 3 overdoses at NYC Hyatt Grand Central hotel

Detectives are investigating a spate of drug overdoses at a Midtown hotel that left two guests dead and a third hospitalized Saturday, police said.

EMS was called to the Hyatt Grand Central New York, a four-star hotel on E. 42nd St. near Lexington Ave. about noon after the three guests were found unconscious.

Two of the people died at the hotel, police said. A third was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

When we deliver it in 2029, 175 Park will be the tallest commercial building in the Western Hemisphere — and it’s something that wouldn’t have happened without that rezoning. It becomes self-fulfilling, because the whole Grand Central marketplace is getting better and better in terms of the quality of the buildings, the quality of the public spaces, and the quality of the infrastructure there — not only from what has been invested because of these projects, but also with the opening of the East Side Access, and eight new tracks under Grand Central. So, when you think about where you want to invest in New York, the ecosystem around Grand Central is long-term a place that you want to be, and where the greatest percentage of our buildings are.

Again, I think COVID accelerated this shift. It’s become something that’s more important than it was before, because of the need to be close to transportation and have walkability. It’s not just buildings that are sustainable and magnetic for people to want to work in, but also communities around them that are activated.

Are you in talks with any potential tenants yet?

We are, and we don’t even deliver it until 2029! When you think about companies that want to be in New York or who are already here today and are looking for the home of their future, there’s been a lot of interest from those tenants in 175 — and we’re talking to some interested in taking 1 million-plus square feet. But I can’t say who they are, for now.
