Hamilton is Tim Horton's first store location, so I'm not surprised.

The first Tim Horton's store was rebuilt a few years ago with a "Tim Horton's" Museum on the second floor:

Pittsburgh is one of my favorite US cities to randomly streetview, in large part from the stunning vistas you get from the hills and the sheer volume of gorgeous old brick.

Oh yeah, how could I forget looking down at that massive church... I think any view with Immaculate Heart of Mary in it is incredible.

And if this isn't a classic Pittsburgh view, than I'm not sure what it

Pittsburgh is such a cool city aesthetically. Just about every part of town is unique..even beat up areas. Probably the most unique big city in the US.

Either coming north or south on I-45.

But even more, I would say approaching downtown on Memorial Dr, with the scenery of the bayou parkland on the right, and downtown looking very pretty a mile or two ahead of you. Approaching downtown on Allen Parkway is almost as good.

I posted the Google Earth view because it's better than what I could see on Google Maps. With the link I posted, you may have to give it about five seconds to open. It's worth it.

I enjoy seeing the changes in Uptown Houston. This is approaching the north part of Uptown on San Felipe. This is a small part of the district.

Yeah, it really is a very scenic and unique place. There's really no major city quite like it... because why the hell would you build a city in this crazy topography? It made sense for early frontier defense and transportation/mining/milling, but its certainly not a city built for any form of efficiency. Which can make it frustrating, fractured, and really cool at the same time.

Even after living here for a long time, I'm constantly discovering views that are new to me. The crazy terrain just continually gives you new and unexpected vantage points. Just a really interesting and kinda mysterious mix of natural features and old urban density in the craziest places.

Pittsburgh has always been one of the best cities to spend hours in streetview on. I feel like after all these years I could navigate the place pretty well for having never stepped foot there.

I'd love to see some old photos of Pittsburgh showing those same city-scapes shrouded in the polluted air from the steel mills. It was a very smoky city back in the day. https://historicpittsburgh.org/islan...t/pitt:SCLS040

It was a dark and stark Hell on Earth.

Could you imagine waking up in the morning and walking down steps like these to your job in the mill and up at the end of the day to go back home?
