Why cant there be a winner three times in a row? And okayyou, your photo was pretty kick ass man, very good framing and subject matter.

Thanks, I don't think we should hamstring the winner. None of these have been runaways. It does help if the category is broad so we get more entries. Not implying birds is a narrow category.

No matter how many times you win you should always have the choice to pick out
the subject for the next comp or let someone else do it.

Ok, how about instead of just birds, Ill make it just be a vague category of anything nature related, how about that? I kind of have a leg up on a lot of folks when it comes to birds since I have a 500mm lens. So instead of just birds, lets make the next one just be "nature".

I kinda liked birds but if others think it is too narrow nature or animals shots would be good too.

Are we doing nature or animals? Do pets count?

I'm certainly down with nature in general being a good subject matter for the next photo contest, photoLith. All in all, it's still your call, so let me know. So far as the no three-in-a-row winners thing is concerned, I just want to make sure that the winner doesn't just choose a bunch of subjects in a row which perfectly suit his strongest photos, kind of ensuring consistent wins, that's all... Not saying you're doing this, but I can see it possibly happening.

How about if one person wins three times in a row, then the moderator of the contest gets to choose a subject?
